The Genesis Fund brings together resources to create housing and other economic and social opportunities for people and places being left out of the mainstream economy throughout Maine and in other communities in Northern New England. This is done by lending capital, delivering expert advice, leveraging our experience to promote systemic change and policy solutions, and opening channels for people and institutions to move resources toward community needs.The Genesis Fund offers flexible and creative financing to nonprofit organizations throughout Northern New England to develop affordable housing and community facility projects. Genesis Fund projects help our communities become stronger and more sustainable by providing innovative solutions to financing challenges.

CFP) HAS HONED AN INSIDE-OUT APPROACH TO PEACEBUILDING ON THE GROUND IN POST-CIVIL WAR SIERRA LEONE. CFP IS THE CO-CREATOR AND INTERNATIONAL FUNDING AND PROGRAM PARTNER FAMBUL TOK, THE NATIONAL PROGRAM OF COMMUNITY-OWNED AND LED RECONCILIATION. CFP HAS SUPPORTED, AND IN TURN, LEARNED FROM THE CONSULTATIVE PROCESSES THE FAMBUL TOK STAFF USES TO FORWARD THE WORK ON THE GROUND. CFP USES THEIR TALENTS AND RESOURCES TO CREATE SPACE LOCAL LEADERS AND SOLUTIONS TO EMERGE. THAT MEANS WORKING IN-DEPTH, RESPONSIVELY, AND OVER LONG PERIODS OF TIME, SO THAT PROGRAMMING SPRINGS FROM LOCALLY DEFINED NEEDS AND DESIRES. THEY BUILD AND ADVOCATE LONG-TERM STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS TO ADDRESS DIFFICULT, REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS, WHILE ALSO DEVELOPING THE LOCAL RESOURCES REQUIRED TO SUSTAIN THE HEALTHY SYSTEMS. AT THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL, CFP HAS FOCUSED THEIR WORK ON CREATING SPACE ONGOING STRATEGIC PLANNING AND PROGRAM DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT, NURTURING AND SUPPORTING NATIONAL
