The LifeFlight Foundation provides support to LifeFlight of Maine to enable critical care ground and air medical transport throughout the State of Maine. The Foundation supports the operation of dedicated medical helicopters and fast response ground vehicles from bases in Sanford and Lewiston and provides a dedicated medical helicopter, fixed wing, and ground ambulances based in Bangor. The Foundation provides capital and operational funding to LifeFlight supporting:* The aircraft replacement fund* Operating support for the Sanford helicopter base* Operating support for the fixed wing program* Aircraft improvement and upgrade projects* Medical equipment and technology including advanced patient monitors, ventilators, airway management, laboratory, ultrasound, infusion medications, intraortic balloon pumps, and newborn transport isolette systems. * Aviation Infrastructure * Continuing medical education high fidelity patient simulators* The LifeFlight Critical Care Academy

SeedMoney helps disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and communities to gain access to healthy foods, environmentally sustainable gardens and wholesome forms of recreation. We do this by partnering with and by providing financial and technical support to a wide variety of small, nonprofit causes interested in starting or sustaining a food garden project in their communities. Our partners include food banks, schools, homeless shelters, and community gardens to name but a few.

Health Equity Capacity Building: Staff, consultant, and evaluator support to implement the Health Equity Capacity Building Program, which focuses on community-based organizations that are led by individuals from populations that experience inequitable health burdens and disparities in quality of care, and that address the needs of such populations. Specifically, this includes grantee-determined technical assistance and support to wrap around grant funds. In 2021, a program redesign effort involved significant staff time as well as stipends for grantees who participated in advising the planning process.
