In-kind services to USA IHEs to improve cyber security education programs. The purpose of the grant program is to alleviate the shortage of industry professionals by improving the training and education programs available in IHEs. Recipients will have access to software and other services from a leading cyber-security provider.

The grant program includes partnership with two of the industry’s leading cyber training and education providers to open a physical center in your community. CyberGym offers an advanced Cyber Training and Technology area which facilitates testing systems, processes and people against cyberattacks, and preparing learners for responding to and fending off real-time cyberattacks on complex, widespread systems and sensitive infrastructures. There are three tiers of grants: Presidential, Senator, and Ambassador. The lists below are the awards for the President tier, differences for the Senator and Ambassador tiers are noted in parenthesis)

  • Training Arena Equipment on Premise (Emulation platform) (Senator: 75% of costs waived; Ambassador: 50% of costs waived)
  • Premium license to use CyberGym comprehensive training programs (Senator and Ambassador: basic license) 
  • Revenue share with CyberGym, zero upfront costs (President only)
  • Advanced Management Workshop
  • Master Classes for Cyber Security Teams (SOC, Incident Response), and IT/operational experts
  • Train the Trainer program - Training University/College professors, to become Cyber trainers
  • Complementary basic-level training (Senator: 2 trainings, Ambassador: 1) 

Cybint is an interactive, military-grade cyber education platform with a comprehensive approach to skills development. Born as a collaboration of global cyber expertise from the Israeli Defense Forces, United States FBI and higher education, this approach to combating cybercrime fuses threat-based content, role-specific learning paths and accelerated training methods to maximize retention and minimize risk. Grant applications will be accepted from US-based Universities and Colleges.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will be accepted through January 10, 2020. One application submission is equal to entry for all three grant types, only one tier will be awarded if chosen. If your school’s application is unfortunately declined, a rejection email will be sent to the address on the application. If your application is chosen to move forward, the following will occur:
- Schools selected will be initiated to move forward to a second round in which a questionnaire will be sent to the email address to learn more about your school.
- Following the questionnaire, schools chosen to continue through the selection process will be scheduled to meet for an interview with Cybint and CyberGym.
- Lastly, screenings will conclude and all applicants will be notified with results by January 31, 2020.
